I'm Josh Wegener, a software engineer based in Colorado. My work connects the website people see with the applications, integrations, and infrastructure behind it.

BACKGROUND
Experience across
the full system.
My background spans custom PHP and Laravel applications, internal engineering tools, education platforms, APIs, and server operations. I've worked on software release workflows, billing integrations, document processing, and tools that reduce repetitive work.
That experience helps when a project crosses boundaries: an application needs a new integration, a website depends on a legacy system, or a deployment needs attention alongside the code.
TOOLS & PLATFORMS
A broad toolkit.
A practical approach.
PHP, Laravel, Symfony, JavaScript, and MySQL. WordPress, Drupal, and custom plugins. Linux, Apache, Nginx, Git, and deployment workflows.
I've worked with cPanel, WHM, GoDaddy, and standalone virtual private servers. I look at what's already running before planning changes, including the control panel and other applications that depend on it.
CURRENTLY
Working full-time.
Making room for selected projects.
I work full-time as a software engineer and take on selected side projects. Scope and timing matter, so we'll discuss what you need and my availability before committing to a schedule.
